The project is coordinated by the Vigo-based fishing organization ARVI and focuses on accelerating the decarbonisation of European fishing fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/hy2fish.arvi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/modulo-de-estilos-final-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hy2fish.arvi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/modulo-de-estilos-final-980x551.webp 980w, https:\/\/hy2fish.arvi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/modulo-de-estilos-final-480x270.webp 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the main objectives of HY2FISH is to demonstrate how hybrid systems combining hydrogen fuel cells, batteries and renewable energy solutions can significantly reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in fishing vessels.
