Among the proposed solutions are hydrogen-based propulsion systems, marine batteries, flexible solar panels and advanced digital energy-management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key milestones of the initiative will be the retrofit of a traditional fishing vessel that will operate under Atlantic conditions on the Galician coast. The demonstrator vessel will integrate hybrid propulsion technologies combining hydrogen fuel cells and electric systems designed to significantly reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/hy2fish.arvi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/modulo-de-estilos-final-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hy2fish.arvi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/modulo-de-estilos-final-980x551.webp 980w, https:\/\/hy2fish.arvi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/modulo-de-estilos-final-480x270.webp 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HY2FISH also seeks to improve vessel hydrodynamics, reduce underwater noise and introduce smart monitoring technologies that optimise onboard energy use in real time.
